While Adalyn is still 8 months old I wanted to get this posted. Where did the time go? She is so much fun and cute and... you get the picture. :)

* She is on the move! You got it she is crawling everywhere. Adalyn has learn a unique yoga move in the process. She goes up on her hands and toes as far as she can.
* Enjoying her food, much rather have the "real" stuff! Likes to growl while waiting between bites. LOL Has quite the sound effect too.... num!, yum, mmmm. :)
* Has become quite the momma's girl. (ok, she loves her daddy too!)
* Everything, I mean everything goes in her month. So different from Kara.
* There is a meaning behind the title for this month. When you say "sooo big" to Adalyn she raises her hands/arms straight above her head with the biggest grin on her face.
* Loves the Christmas tree. Not just looking at it either, she has to touch!
* Saying da da and ma ma. Talk about melting your heart!
* Watch your toes! Adalyn has 4 teeth.

Our Love still Grows

Our Anniversary means a lot,
Much more than any other day;
I celebrate my love for you,
And cherish you in every way.
Though passing time our love still
grows
A caring relationship to explore;
our life together gets better and
better,
And I keep on loving you more and
more

Happy 14th anniversary, babe! Wow, look where we are! You are still the one for me and always will be. I love living life with you.

Tagged

I just found out from reading a my friend Kelli's blog that I have been tagged to tell everyone the meaning of our girls names.

Our Kara bug:
Kara Ashlyn Faith

Deciding on a name is one of the more difficult things to do in life. lol If she were a boy it would of been Anden Thomas. We went back and forth on Kara's first name. Should it be Kara, Karis, Ashlyn,... then on to the middle name once we figured out the first. Ashlyn or Faith, hey why not both! Faith played a lot into this pregnancy. I was starting to accept that having a family was not part of our plans anymore. With my knee surgeries I was afraid I could not be a "good" mom anymore. I felt my abilities were taken away from me. You know the one to run around the yard, and get down and play on the floor with the kiddos. Well after 11 years of marriage God had other plans for our family! I am so glad he did. :) Adaptation has become a part of my life and what you can do with your child makes you a better parents.
Oh you want to know the meaning of her name!

Kara: "beloved"

Ashlyn: "dream"

Faith: "loyalty, belief"

Onto our Addy bee:

Adalyn Jessa Grace

Tom and I knew we did not want an only child. Just happened quicker than we were expecting. If she were a boy her name would of been Anden Carter Thomas. I threw many names at Tom, but once he heard Adalyn he would not budge until the day she was born. LOL I wanted Jessa!! She looked like a Jessa to me, not only in looks but in personality. Actually still does. Tom started feeling the same way. Once we told the family (well Tom's) that we were going to name the baby Jessa; all we heard was "how could we do that to Kara?". Yes, Kara was calling the baby Addy the whole time, even though we told her it could be Anden a boy. So with all that said we decided not want to confuse Kara and naming the baby Jessa. She had been though enough changes in her world. :)
So now for the second middle name, Grace. We wanted to keep with the 2 middle names. The idea of Grace was my mom's idea. It was so fitting with everything going on at the time of her birth too!

Adalyn: "noble kind"

Jessa: "He sees"

Grace: "favor, blessing"

"Snakeflows!"

Are you wondering what in the world what snakeflows are?! Here is the story:
The other night Tom had gotten Kara bug some jammies out. They happen to be Christmas jammies, because most of her other ones were in the wash. He laid them on the back of the chair and put Kara on his lap. Kara looked at what little she could see of the jammies and said "Daddy those are Christmas jammies!" Tom replied " how do you know that?." Pointing at her jammies she replied "those are snakeflows!" Ha Ha snowflakes! Kara was all excited for me to see her jammies with the "snakeflows". How cute!! Christmas really is just around the corner. In our household the songs of Christmas never left. REALLY! We still have to sing her frosty while rocking her to sleep. She has added a couple more to the routine too: up on the roof top and here comes Santa clause. We are sharing songs with the meaning of Christmas as well.

I'm a little teacup

Yes our little Addy is 5 months old. Goodness!

I am so thankful for my girlies. I do not think I say that enough.lol I love hearing Kara talk to Adalyn when she thinks no one is listening. "I love you miss addy", "You're so beautiful", "Did you have a good nap?". Adalyn lights up whenever her Kara is around. Kara is such a great help! What does she do? Getting the boppy, the bumbo seat, toys for Adalyn to play with, diapers/wipes, and going over just to talk/play with her. Oh and who said a 5 month old would not be interested in what her sissy is? Addy loves to watch Thomas with Kara. It is so cute to see them sitting on the couch together, staring at the tv. No they do not do this kind of thing all the time, for you that are wondering. :)

As we say goodbye to Summer...

I could not, not post these pictures of Kara bug in her watermelon dress. They were taken over the very short summer we had. :(

Whew! Miss Adalyn is 4 months old. I know, I know it is going by so fast. I will probably say that every month.lol
*Feet, feet are neat. Yes she has discovered her feet! If only we could remain so flexible. :)
* Graping everything she can with both hands
* Adalyn believes that raspberries/zerberks are a way of communication around here.
* For sure she is the happiest baby on our block
* Has the yummiest hands ever! Kara says they must taste like ice cream. :)
* Squeals and laughs with delight
Giggles and curls, ribbons and bows, she’s adorable from her head to her toes.

"Eagle Eyes"

Kara with Dr Rhee
Today we took the girls to Dr Rhee a pediatric ophthalmologist at Ophthalmology Consultants. We wanted to make sure our girlies did not inherit any eye issues. Dr Rhee said Kara and Adalyn pass with flying colors and had exceptional "eagle eyes". No cataracts or retinal problems! Thank God!! We were informed that the girls will need glasses when they are older. They will be nearsighted like their mama. Amazing what they can tell with an exam! I would highly recommend Dr Rhee to anyone I know. He is fantastic with kids and has a passion for what he does.

Mama daddy's home!

These are the words Tom heard as he was coming in the door from work. How did Kara know that? She was suppose to be napping like the rest of us. Tom opened her bedroom door to discover this...
Daddy: How did you know I was home?
Kara: I saw your car go by in the window.

Later Tom brought Kara in to wake Adalyn and me up. She was so excited to show me this picture she did while I was sleeping. OMG!

Mommy: Oh Kara we don't do that. We need to be safe!
Kara: I safe. I hold on mama. See (pointing at the picture of herself)
